The sub section of the hull was now given a coat of flat Vallejo varnish and to speed up drying a hair dryer was employed.
While this was drying a mix of small stones, grass fibres, sand, pigment and Mig resin was mixed to give a mud texture material. As I wanted a wet mud gloss varnish was added to the mix. Using two old brushes of different sizes the mud mixture was applied on the lower hull where it would naturally collect. The front and rear plates also received applications as did the underside of the hull. The last place was both sets of tracks. Again this was now put aside to cure.
