When dried with the hairdryer, I sprayed on some light faded Olive Drab for highlights and also rain streaks. These were done by simply spraying in vertical lines down the bodywork. It all adds to a more interesting paintjob rather than being painted in a monotone colour with no low and highlights.
In preparation for the decals being applied I sprayed on a coat of Johnsons Klear floor polish. This sprays really well straight out the bottle and gives a nice semi-gloss coat for the decals to adhere to.
With the decals applied it looks nearly ready for the first of the weathering stages. Just got to paint in the tyres and track with Lifecolor Panzer Grey.
