So with the windows masked the next thing was to mount the wings. I used the struts to determine the right angle for the wings, which is straight and level. Once glued I set the model upside down with the wings supported and left it overnight.
The following day I decided to fix the struts now. Although this might make painting a little more difficult, fixing the struts without damaging the paint would be, for me at least, more of a risk.
The ‘V’ struts are commendably thin but they lack any real positive location, however, the job was done in no time.
As you can see in the last picture the lower undercarriage spats have also been added so apart from little things like the DF loop we’re ready for paint.
