A wooden ammo crate was next made out of thin balsa strips glued together then painted. Nothing looks more like wood than wood.
Now I added something you don’t see much of in the model world, stowage straps without the stowage. Simple but very effective. Basically some thin card cut to size. This is then painted a leather colour, add some buckles and belt holes and fix to the model. I added one undone to the front fender and one done up on the rear cargo side.
The aerial mount was next up. This is the kit part with a length of guitar string cut to the required length and put on as shown.
Painted a piece of stowage in the form of a tarpaulin and added to the other side and this baby is about done. I might tweak it here and there later like add decals to the dash when I get some but it’s about ready for the display cabinet. I hope you have enjoyed the build as I have enjoyed building it. Any updates on this, i.e. a base and maybe a figure will be shown here when they are added.
Thanks for watching…
