Our thanks to Kingfisher Miniatures for supplying us with this sample. Get this neat little kit here now at: www.kingfisherminiatures.co.uk
This small accessory kit follows hot on the heels of our review of the Kingfisher Miniatures Landrover Defender Wolf – and what a nice offering that is. The small white box has plenty inside that includes:
- Resin Sankey Trailer unit
- Resin towing arm
- White metal accessories such as trailer wheels, suspension assembly and other small parts The quality of the casting is pretty good although some small air bubbles are apparent but these should be able to be filled easily enough. There will be a bit of cleaning up to do around the towing arm but the main trailer unit looks to need little other than the filling mentioned.
The white metal parts are well cast with good tread pattern on the tyres and accurate detail on the suspension assembly and other small parts. Some flash will need to be removed from these parts but the metal is relatively soft and is unlikely to present any problems.
Instructions…
This is clearly a simple model to build and you’ll need to use cyano for all the fixing. In addition, the instruction sheet consists of narrative explaining how to assemble the parts. Given the simplicity of construction the absence of the usual exploded view diagram is reasonable.
We have this model lined up for a build with the Kingfisher Landrover Defender Wolf quite soon and so you should keep an eye on Build Now where that project is going to appear in due course.
