Useful period video…
A bit of Background
This vehicle was a utilisation of an obsolete tank chassis and mounting the Russian anti tank gun and a useful series of anti tank weapons was born.
This being the M version, it had the engine moved forward and this allowed the fighting compartment to be lowered. The production run of this type ran from May 1943 to May 1944 and 942 were manufactured.
Initial Assessment
The kit comes in the standard box, with all parts in plastic bags. We find five sprues of tan plastic, poly caps, a small decal sheet, an instruction sheet and some metal weights.
Accuracy
This kit looks good compared to my plans and photo’s and when completed should look the business.
Quality
I am tempted to say it’s a Tamiya kit. What I mean by that is that moulding is very crisp and there is minimum flash (so little it’s hardly worth mentioning).
The detail is first class and with a careful build approach and painting will build into a great model.
Instructions
Clear, crisp and well laid out which makes them easy to follow.
Decals
A small decal sheet is supplied, printed in black and white. It looks thin and should go down well over any raised detail with some decal softener.
Conclusion
This looks like a great little kit and will build into a great kit straight from the box.
Highly Recommended.
