Having mixed a base colour of Panzer Grey which would reflect a vehicle that had been used in Poland, France and now Russia, I decided that the Panzer Grey would have been lightened by the effect of the sun and weather on the paint. This paint was then sprayed on the turret and the hull in light coats till a good overall colour was achieved.
Next comes the first highlight that is mixed from the base with added blue and then sprayed onto the turret roof, the fenders, the top parts of some of the vertical plates, the drive and idler wheels lower portions, tops of the main running gear supports and the boxes on the lower hull. The paint mix was altered again with addition of more blue and a little white and then sprayed onto the tops of the turret and hull to give variation to the highlights.
