Bomber Resupply Set
I mentioned earlier that the kit didn’t have any bombs but these are available as part of Airfix`s new ‘Bomber Resupply Set’. For a full review of this set have a look in the Here Now section. This set contains not only ‘normal’ bombs but incendiary bombs, cookie bombs and four bomb trailers. On top of this is a fuel bowser, a tractor, a Tilly van and a Bedford truck that can be built as either a bowser or crew carrier. There are also some other extras such as a ladder, a motorbike, a bicycle and scaffolding platform. All in all this is a great little set and makes an ideal accompaniment for any WWII RAF bomber (It would be really nice if Airfix upscaled this to 1:48th scale).
You can’t use the Lancaster and supply set without an appropriate base and Noy’s bases provides just the thing to go with these in the form of their new card Bomber Dispersal. This has been reviewed in the Here Now section and the following pictures show it in use with the ‘Lanc’ and supply set.
