2024 new tool release
Full Review with Geoff Coughlin
Just in case you haven’t seen it yet, here’s a link to my in-box browse showing the box contents.
What’s the plan?
For me this new-tool Consolidated B-24H Liberator is all going to be about the finish and getting a realistic look to that Olive Drab and grey finish.
I’ll be building the model completely out of the box. I can’t see the need to add anything at all given the high levels of detail on offer.
B-24H-10-FO Liberator 42-52234 “Corky” of the Burgundy Bombers 733th Bomb Squadron, 453rd Bomb Group, based at Old Buckenham, Norfolk, England, 1944 offered on the decal sheet is the subject of this build…
If you fancy the other option, then it’s “Valiant Lady”, based in Italy, 1944.
Reference and preparation…
As ever, I spend about an hour trawling the internet for images of my subject and that will turn up some great photos, especially of “Corky” here:

There are plenty more of B-24s of the period and I keep those handy for later and the weathering I plan to do.
