Summary…
I really enjoyed this build. Airfix have produced a great kit of a really interesting subject. The included build options of folded or extended wings, retracted or extended undercarriage and flaps, open or closed bomb bay doors and a dropped or raised radome give you lots of choice in how to finish the kit. The fit of the parts is in general very good and this is especially so with the folded wings. Internal detail is great from the box with only aftermarket seatbelts being required. The decals perform exceptionally well, they are made by Cartograf so I expected nothing less!
My only minor criticism are the instructions which are a bit vague in areas such as the assembly of the folded wings, the pitot and antenna locations and the missing weight bucket for the nose.
Overall though, this is a fantastic kit that I would highly recommend and I would really like to build another, hopefully a COD and /or AEW version which I hope Airfix have planned in the near future.

The Gannet looks superb!

Great build Dave.
I was fortunate to note the extra weight tray which Airfix fail to mention in the instructions. I can report this holds enough to prevent tail sitting.
