Camera glass
Once the cockpit assembly had dried out the fuselage camera glass was attached, propeller fitted, fuselage half’s joined together and tail planes put in place. This was then taped up and left to set overnight. Fit at this stage looked generally good.
The wings were glued onto the fuselage and this is where I encountered some fit problems. Large gaps were left where the upper wings joined the fuselage and the same underneath where camera ports join the rear of the aircraft. These were soon filled and sanded flush once dry. The cockpit glazing was masked and fitted and a coat of interior green added to the framework.
It’s not all plane sailing!
It was whilst handling the aircraft that disaster struck! I inadvertently pushed in the fuselage camera glass in, whoops! I contemplated prising apart the fuselage but as work had progressed too far I elected to use clearfix at a later stage. After all area’s had been checked for fit issues I primed the entire aircraft for painting with Tamiya fine white primer.
