The real aircraft is covered in antennae so take careful note of reference pictures when adding them to the model. Also note that the upper antennas are offset from the centreline – see the picture below.
With the antennas added I just needed to attach the wing pylons and that was it done.
Summary
I needed to build this kit from the moment BPK announced it and I am really happy with the finished model. It does take some modelling skills to get the best out of it but nothing that is beyond most modellers’ skill sets. I opted to add the weapon bay which does need some careful fitting but if you take that out of the equation the general fit of the overall kit is very good. The finished model is very big especially for a 1:72nd model but once it’s on its stand and posed in flight I think it looks really good.
Would I recommend it? Yes, definitely, so much so I am now considering BPK’s E-7 Wedgetail as a future project.

Superb…simply superb Dave

My webpage says “English”. The spelling and expression in so much of the text suggest that this is more hypothesis than fact. Howard says “Superb…” and the finished model shows this to be more fact than hypothesis. Very nicely done!
