Full Review with Gerry Doyle
A note from Geoff C…
Well take a look at this…
How different is that? It’s great to see the perhaps lesser-known versions/variants connected with the Bf 109 and eduard have released this impressive model.
Over to you Gerry for your story on this one…
The Avia S-99/C-10 is a subject that has been quite under-represented by modelling companies and eduard’s release was a pleasant surprise to me at any rate.
This kit is part of eduard’s new generation of injection moulded plastic kits and has evolved from their excellent 2016 Bf109G series tool. These are arguably the finest Gustavs on the market and when this incarnation came out in late 2018, I ordered it straight away.
On opening the box you are treated to several sprues of finely detailed parts, perfectly moulded and with ultra-fine surface detail. There is also a colour etched fret, Kabuki masks, decals for four Czech police machines and the now familiar well-appointed instruction sheet.
Getting underway
Construction starts with the cockpit by the scraping off of the raised detail to make way for the photo-etch parts.
