Ok, back to the plane now, with working over the resin radar, coming from EDUARD, a great piece with crisp details!
Wheels are also coming from EDUARD range…Add some details to the landing gear units.
Painting!
Starting now the paint job over the beast, the underside is simply in white, just the panel lines were enhanced with a shadow line in sand paint and with Tamiya Smoke paint (X-19); in fact I used Smoke with a fine brush, drop it in the panel line and whipped the excess out with a wet cloth; doing that in the way the air flown makes the smoke dirty up the painted panel; you’ll have a fine brown line in the bottom of the panel line! I also used other clear paints: red/orange and yellow to simulate fluid leaks.
About the top paint, I’m using enamel from the Model Master range, I first sprayed the normal reference colour, and then I added some white in it and sprayed each of the panels, working to let the border of the panel in the darker colour. I add more white in this mix afterwards and then work only in the center of the panel; this gives, to my eyes, a good weathering effect in the paint.
