.You can see from the above photos (click on images for enlarged versions) where the MIG wash has been applied to the front wing section and to the side of the fuselage. With this in mind, I set about applying the MIG wash to the rest of the airframe. It is more controlled than the Promodellers Wash Approach and in my opinion is easier to remove from the airframe.
Once the MIG wash was completed, the airframe was given a few light coats of 50/50 mixed Xtracrylics Satin/Matt Varnish to dull down the gloss of the Gunze paints. Pastels were used to finish the model to give it a used look and the accentuate detail on panels that would be opened or have crew walking over them to service the airframe.
Weapons
One of the best things with the Hobbyboss kit is the ordinance that is included within the kit. The kit gives the option to have a fully laden airframe or as sparse as you would wish. For the build I decided to go for a reasonable load out and not make it too laden with weapons. I chose 2No. GBU-10’s, 2 No. Cluster Bombs, 2 No. Maverick Missiles and 2No. Sidewinder missiles for the load out. One disappointing fact of the kit is the decals for the weapons are not really as good as they maybe could have been and let the kit down a little. They just did not show much detail, but saying that I have been building a lot of 1:32 scale kits recently, so am I just being too picky here?
