Engines, nacelles and all that!
I know that there has been talk about the accuracy of these but sorry, to me they look fine and I’m not about to start chopping them up and replacing them. My initial concern was more about whether there is sufficient detail and now, having assembled the kit parts I think what you get is fine.
Notice in the first few photos here that you can see quite a way in, BUT, painting the interior dark grey you just are not going to see very much at all when you peer inside.
Remember too, that the intake ring has yet to be added and this will close the intake aperture still further. Also, don’t forget, I am using a flash here that has blasted the interior with light that won’t be there when you casually observe the model.
Wheel wells, flaps and speed brakes
I have pre-shaded the wheel wells to give them depth and they contain some nice ribbed detail. The flaps are deployed, as well as the lower speed brakes. I’ve no idea whether the lower slotted speed brakes can be deployed without those above being raised, buy, so what I think it all should make the model look more interesting.
Undercarriage units
These look nicely detailed and with a bit of cleaning up should work well. We’ll come back to this area when I return!
