Construction
This is the Dornier Do 217 E-5 6N + NP, Werknummer 5554 (“54”), 6 Staffel II/KG 100, testing unit for the Henschel Hs 293 radio controlled glide bomb, southern France, September-October 1944. The kit is 1:72 Italeri, 2005 re-edition with extra parts of the venerable 1977 original tool. The Henschel bomb is the 1:72 Condor 1994 kit. I did my best effort to improve this kit by adding some aftermarket and some scratch building.
