Full review with Chris Evans
A note from Geoff C…
When I saw how this build has turned out I just had to show you here, right up front what an impressive end result Chris has achieved – another stunning project and very pleased to see that Kitty Hawk models seem to be improving in quality (not so it seems the instructions – see below). We’ll find out if that’s really the case by reading one and here are two photos showing Chris’s finished F-5E – simply love his attention to detail, weathering and overall convincing end result.
Over to you Chris…
This is the new release Kitty Hawk F-5E Tiger II. At first glance it looks to be a very nice kit with plenty in the box. I do have the old Hasegawa release of the same subject and this kit is in a different league, which it should be given the age of the older kit.
The parts and surface detail is superb and should make up a very nice looking kit straight out of the box, which is what I will be doing. We will see how the fit of the parts goes as the build progresses.
Geoff has done a great video of unboxing & review, and I recommend you take a look.
There are plenty of decal options, 9 different schemes in fact! The decal sheet is nice and big and looks to be in perfect register. I chose to do the VFC-111 Sundowners Aggressor in 3 tone brown camo.
Anyway, lets crack on with this, it looks pretty good.
