Normally I’d do more here like some chipping and scuffing, but the fact is that the view aperture into the fuselage internals is greatly restricted, so much of this won’t be seen at all.
The rear cockpit decking is the exception, so some wiring was added here using lead fly tying wire sourced from a fishing supply website. The gunners weapon will be placed further on in the build to avoid damage.
Wash and dry brushing steps were repeated with the engine firewall and the cockpit firewall containing the pilot’s seat. Other details were also brush painted in these areas.
Test-fitting reveals that the fit should be rather nice given all the components going into the interior – which is great news given the difficulty with the engine’s fit. At this point I just need to make up some fabric seatbelts (that will be covered in the next update) and I can close the fuselage and move to wrapping up construction.
