Construction continues – interior detail
The interior of the kit is pretty basic, little or no rib and stringer detail and the bulkheads are pretty bland, as is the cockpit and controls. Time for a little embellishment…
First job is to get rid of what is there on the fuselage interior walls. We start in the waist gunner’s area, some raised detail and large injection marks to eradicate.
The visible area between the two bulkheads is then detailed using styrene strip for ribs and stringers.
The cockpt area then gets similar treatment and the True Details sidewalls added.
I have only removed those huge injection marks from where they would be seen.
The interior can now be primed and visible areas painted in RAF Interior Green Cromate.
There are four main bulkheads to paint and detail before making up the rear cabin sub-assembly and the cockpit sub-assembly.
