Wing… and plenty of it
The wing is a very large and unwieldy bit of plastic consisting of an upper central section and two outer panels, with the lower section in two pieces.
Construction is straightforward enough, the lower section first aligned on a flat surface and joined, followed by the upper centre section and finally the upper outer sections port and starboard.
Plenty of clothes pegs and clamps needed here, time to raid the washing line!
Although the wing fit is good, the leading edge needs filler on the seam joint. The final complete wing is a tremendous piece of plastic, almost a foot long.
After surface preparation and priming, some pre-shade once again on the upper surfaces prior to the camoflage colours. As the control surfaces were fabric covered, there is no need for pre-shade there, but some post-shading across the depressions gives some depth to the shallow fabric covering.
