Concluding thoughts
To conclude this was a mammoth project that took a good few months. I was extremely happy with how the aircraft turned out. The lesson I have learned is that you need to be patient with any backyard resin conversion kits, that a little time is needed to finesse them. I have two more Revell GR.1 kits in the stash ready to be set up on, with the flightpath flap sets to add on to these but I’m in no rush to do these just yet. The pinnacle of the build came quite a few months after completion. It was during Telford last year when an elderly gentlemen came up to me and started to show me photos of the real Tornado I had made. It turned out that it was his son who flew this exact aircraft on QRA. Hope you all like the Tonka!
