Wheels
I had painted the hubs gloss white a while back and as they are thoroughly dry the tyres get a coat of enamel Revell Matt No.9 which is a dark grey and a more realistic impression of rubber. As you can see here there are a lot of wheels on one of these guys and I completed the task over a couple if sittings. These are set aside to dry and fit later, after all the main painting and weathering is finished.
Engine pods
As I discovered before on the dry run the separate engine pods and pylons fit ok, but they did need some filler to fair in the joins and make it all look seamless after the painting stage.
