I decided that I wanted to portray this jet “straight from the paint shop” so I have kept it clean. Just a slight bit of griminess on the undercarriage legs and wheels was sufficient to me. Final assembly consisted of building up the undercarriage and adding some aerials, light lenses and the foreplanes. These areas presented no issues although the main legs were a bit tight to get into place and I broke one. It may be worth leaving off the leg braces until the main struts are in place.
The canopy masks were removed (always a tentative step for me!) and I could admire my finished handiwork.
