Day four
Undercoat is on and it’s time to take a good look at the model for any seams or blemishes that need fixing before we go for the colour coat.
I found the seam just behind the skylight needed slight attention but the worst area was the rear of the canopy where I found a joint that needed filling and sanding, so out with the white stuff.
Once filled and sanded we’re ready for the paint.
After an unexpected fight with the paint here she is.
Not sure if it was me or the paint but I just couldn’t get it to lay down right. I used a white undercoat and the yellow was a new jar bought for the job, so I guess it was me. Not to worry, it’s done, not to my complete satisfaction, but she looks OK.
A quick coat of gloss and we’re ready for the decals.
