Construction…
Before committing glue to plastic, the instructions need to be read and fully understood. This particular kit covers 3 versions of the Lynx and all are very different in terms of external configuration. There are also 4 options for the “role equipment” of each version and choices need to be made early on. With a plan in my head, my first step was to open up the multitude of holes in various places for “sticky – out” bits to be fitted later – the instructions clearly show which holes need to be opened for which version and also what size the holes need to be.
The cockpit / cabin area was up first, with a choice of seats depending on which version you are building. As I am building the Danish Navy version, the un-armoured seats were used and the dual controls were fitted into the cockpit. All of the major components of a helicopter cockpit are there, right down to the tiny yaw pedal adjustors on the floor.
