With the wings in place I could then turn the plane over and get her on her feet.
I also added the payload and rigged the undercarriage.
Tail rudders were attached.
And struts added
Bottom window un-masked. We’re nearly there… oh scratch that. Rigging still to do!
Rigging took a couple of hours (thanks to me not doing the engine wires before the top wing) but other than that was just a case of taking the already fixed top wires and threading through the lower buckles with a drop of CA to fix in place. I use Uschi Rigging elastic for nearly all my work. It stretches forever and comes in 3 different sizes and is round in profile unlike some others which tend to be oval.
I managed to miss any pics of the props (apologises). These were a base coat of Tamiya deck tan then oil paints applied with a coarse haired brush to create the grain. I add a drop on Uschi Blitz which is a quick drying aid for oil paints. By the following morning the oils are dry and a gloss vanish can be sprayed followed by decals and a further vanish.
Last up was the armament and we were done!
