Cowlings were next and I decided to do one unit covered and the other open to show off all that lovely detail.
The covers and radiators were first given a coat of aluminium then the radiators masked off ready for the top coat of green.
A coat of AK chipping fluid was first laid down then the green light;y and patchy over the top.
Then with a misting of water and a old cutdown brush and cocktail stick the surface was rubbed and scratched to give a nice beaten and worn appearance.
The good thing about not putting down too heavy a coat of top colour is the metal shows through giving a lovely heavy metal appearance.
The radiators received the same treatment then the masking tape was removed.
