Forward gun bay
Incredibly there are four cannons in here and the aircraft would have packed a serious punch if it engaged the long-range Allied bombers and the parts are clearly marked, just take care to get the parts in their right locations but everything does seem to fit well (although the vertical bulkhead separating each side of the bay was a struggle) in its location.
Again I used Alclad Gunmetal for the armament adding some subtle dry-brushing around the muzzles and magazines using Citadel Bolt Gun Metal.
Engine
The engine is a very nice piece of engineering but as I was to discover later you have to be very accurate during assembly to make sure everything lines up later on. I don’t know how but the main silver cylinder connecting the forward and rear portions of the engine some how became slightly twisted and because the engine needs to fit very accurately onto the two tiny pins I had to remove the cylinder and re-attach it to get proper alignment – not happy given I had added the complex exhaust pipe arrangement. Still, it now all looks a whole lot better, not perfect but I just hope that everything will still go together ok. We’ll see!
