Just before we get started, here’s a look at how it all turned out…
The Sd.Kfz. 234/4 was the final production version of the Sd.Kfz. 234 series of eight wheeled armoured cars developed in Germany during the Second World War.
The vehicle was armed with a long barrelled 75mm Pak 40 L46 gun and was used in the armed reconnaissance role. Like the other vehicles in the series, it had full eight-wheel drive. There were two driver’s positions allowing it to be driven forwards or backwards very easily. It appeared late in the war with only 89 being built.
The DML kit first appeared in 2006 and this was an improvement over the old Italeri kit.
The kit has sprues in common with the other Sd.Kfz. 234 variants produced by DML. This kit includes parts from DML’s 75 mm anti-tank gun along with the ammunition stowage bins appropriate to this variant.
