Something to get you in the mood for building…
Chassis and Hull
There is nothing hiding here. It’s all very straightforward and the bit of drivers compartment included is very welcome. You can’t see a lot of it but it makes a nice change, as opposed to an empty void.
I would recommend that you build and paint the driver at this stage, as he doesn’t fit though the drivers hatch when he is built. I am not fitting the head and helmet until I have finish painting the hull; doing this means I can mask off that area while painting.
It’s at this point that I also paint the chassis and tracks just to make it easier for myself.
Turret
As with the chassis and hull top, the Turret is very straightforward. As with most modern battle tanks, there is very little on the outside.
However, Dragon have given you some detail inside but, with the commander sat in the top, you can’t see a lot of the inside. So is it worth doing? I would say that’s up to whoever is building the model, but for me it’s not.
