With the sub assemblies complete the lower and upper hull pieces were brought together and I can report that the fit was very nice.
The turret can be placed on and locked into place but removed for painting which is helpful. The barrel is a 2 part affair which made me a be concerned as it’s all too easy to sand a flat spot when trying to clean up the join but I’m happy to say there was no need to be concerned as it all worked out fine. With the main construction done it was onto the bit I was dreading, the wheels. Each individual wheel had the outside distressed by softening with Humbrol liquid poly and then distressing with a coarse sanding stick. The stage took ages so I was not looking forward to painting them!
