Another problem was trying to get a few 1:16 scale wing nuts to fit onto the front and rear adjustable-for-width track guards. Again, Telford was the place, to find that they were fairly unavailable! Some were sourced, on the AFV magazine stand, but were too small; again, a mate in our club came to the rescue. Big Bob, (can’t use his slightly rude nickname!), was building the 1:16 resin Hetzer for a magazine review, and gave me a resin block with 3 wing nuts attached, that he hadn’t used, perfect!

Another item that needed a little more detail was the air vent in the roof of the turret. There are six lugs missing from around the casting, which are there to secure a cover over the vent. I would not have noticed this omission without good references, and it is quite a prominent feature, this was sorted quite quickly with a little plasticard.
