As an aside I was told a funny anecdote regarding the machine on the cover of the Tankograd publication. The wagon was specially prepared for a visit by HM and driven to its display spot three weeks before the royal arrival. This gave the grass time to grow to hide the tanks track marks. In the meantime, the tracks started to go rusty, so the order was given to paint them black in situ.
So now there are black paint splashes on the grass so now the order goes out to paint the grass green! True from “the horse’s mouth”!
