The Build


Construction begins with the attachment of the belly armour.
I found that clamps are needed to hold the plate in place whilst the glue dries.
Even after fitment of clamps, a slight gap was evident. This was filled with Perfect Plastic Putty.

As with other Meng kits, there is the a fully working suspension. The torsion bars have been fitted and secured with Tamiya Extra Thin Cement.


Unlike previous kits, the BMR-3M kit is supplied with a rather clever clear Jig which is placed against the hull ensuring the correct positioning of the torsion bars.

Having completed the construction of the lower hull, Tamiya NATO Black is applied before the application of Ammo Mig, Russian Green Khaki.
