The Build
Unlike the previous Shilka build, this time the sprue gates are attached to the idler and wheels in a way that it makes their removal easier and less likely to damage the part.
The wheels have raised detail on them. This is correct so don’t be tempted to remove any of it! The areas where the wheels had been attached to the sprues were cleaned up and attached to the axles in a 12/6 o clock position so as to hide the damage.
The hull bottom as usual for Meng kits, is beautifully detailed.
The front lower glacis plate needs 1mm holes drilling before fitting.
The self-entenching device is a nicely moulded part and it would be quite easy to modify it to be constructed in the deployed position if required.
