Next step was to paint the stowage with various Vallejo acrylics followed by some simple dry brushing to pop out some of the detail.
Then a gloss coat and the few decals were applied before pin washes made from oil paints were applied.
The model was affixed to its base which was made from cheap pine. The brick wall was from a Tamiya set and the grass and foliage were from various Ak Interactive /Mig Ammo products. Various pigments were used to tie the model to the base.
One of the issues with 1:48 armour is the lack of affordable figures, British and Commonwealth subjects seem particularly neglected. I would have really liked to add a couple of crew figures but I couldn’t find anything I liked so I just went without them.
The final step was to add the RB productions 0.50inch gun barrel to Tamiya’s otherwise nice 0.50 cal.
Hope you like it?
