Accessories
For this kit I acquired a metal-turned-barrel by RB Models. More about this a bit later.

SMN’s Photo Reference Library has a decent walkaround for the Stug III.
Chassis
Well, as this comes from Tamiya everything fits like a glove.
The only thing I can fault at the moment are the tracks; why can’t they give use link and length or individual links? Instead we get rubber band tracks.
To give the look of a little sag, I drilled a couple of holes on the chassis side for some thin wire to go into. This will hold the track in position and look much more realistic.
Having done that there is very little to do, unless you wish to add your own detail. The idea with this project though is to pretty much build it all from the box and concentrate on the paint-job.
The Hull
The hull, as with the chassis, is very nicely moulded with very clear detail.
One thing that jumped out at me was there are no tops for the air cleaner intakes. Luckily, I found an old sheet of Airwaves PE for a Panzer 111 that had the grilles still on.
The second thing I noticed is the barrel, which I have replaced with one from RB Models.
They are a Polish company and to say that the barrel is nice is a big under statement – it is a work of art, so if I may give you all a tip today have a look on their website and see if they do a barrel for your next project and buy one.
The rest of the build is pretty straightforward, with very little fuss and looks very nice when built.
