One of the few weaknesses of the model is the plastic grills for the engines. Fortunately, Green Strawberry make a PE replacement set of grills that really improve this part of the model. Once in place I added a soot staining around the grills. The whole model was then given a matt coat to dull everything down.

The antenna was then added and the excess fibre optic cable for the landing lamps was cut back using a Dspiae nipper to get a clean cut. Then a quick moment of truth as the lighting system was checked – it was all good.

If you are going to display the model in flight the kit provides a stand. This was painted up in a stand effect and the model was mounted on it and that was the build complete.
