The aerial came from Armorscale which is made from brass and is machined to a taper. This was held in a locking forceps tweezers and painted in a medium grey before being attached to its holder with superglue.
A final coat of dust was applied to various panels, the side light mounts, feed cables and the top of the exhaust unit. The track and some of the mud applied to the wheels, lower hull, lower bow plate and rear panel had clear varnish applied to simulate the wet mud.
