Onto the front fenders, I shaved of the connection points for the lights as I was building the alternate version that has the smaller light set-up that are fixed to the side of the grill housing. I will add the lights after I have painted the vehicle as there are some small clear parts that I don’t want to get paint on and may be delicate to mask.
Dragon has supplied four types of grill housing with the kit. Two plastic versions with slats closed and two with hollow housing for the addition of brass PE slats. I have gone for the latter and chosen the PE slats in the open position.
I fixed each by adding a small amount of superglue with a toothpick to each side and adding slats one by one. Take care at this stage and don’t rush it and you will end up with a super looking grill.
Included in the kit is the alternate front chassis/bumper section with the tow cable included. Dragon has included string to represent the cable and a brass chain for the connection of the cable to the towing hook.
Apart from the lights to be added later and the vision slats that I will add later as well, the construction is complete. My verdict is this is a stunning looking model with no shortage of details included. With aftermarket details and stowage added this will look incredible.
