Nimrod MR2 XV226 officially retired from RAF use on the 27th of April ,when she was flown to Bruntingthorpe in Leicestershire.She has been bought by David Walton owner of many Cold War jets.
XV 226 arrived at 11.22 a.m and carried out a low pass ,followed by a roller and finally landed at 11.27a.m.She then backtracked and came off the taxiway to park up at 11.33 a.m.
She is the aircraft that was specially marked up for the 2009, 40th Anniversary of the Nimrod as can be seen in the images.
