Not all good things come in small packages! Here’s what I mean…
First of all a very big welcome to 2012 and my first words of the New Year.
We have certainly started with a bit of a bang this year with the arrival of the huge Revell A-400M “Grizzly”. Anyone that visited Telford (UK) for the IPMS UK Scale Model World last November may have seen the model complete on the manufacturer’s stand.
It was big then and enormous now when you see inside the box. What a great release; it has to be said, not many manufacturers would have tackled this project but Revell have, continuing their recent trend for upping the bar on their own high standards.
You’ll see that I have been concentrating a bit on smaller scale projects; the An-2 Colt and H.P. Halifax are on the go in Build Now as we speak, with both offering plenty of modelling enjoyment and challenge. So… I may have to indulge in something rather bigger after these two are done – watch this space!
And that Wingnut Wings Gotha G.IV in 1:32 scale!
You can’t keep a good man down – Les V is at it again. He’s already completed the Here Now review for the above kit and he’s already well underway with the build.
I’ll be starting to run that soon, but keep an eye over on Facebook for some sneak-peak images of that incredible kit.
We already have the WW 1:32 Pfalz and Eduard 1:48 Fokker Eindecker WWI projects in Build Now – both going great guns and due to finish soon, so, when they are done we can start to run what has to be one of, if not the biggest, mainstream manufacturer models I’ve ever seen – the BIG ONE – the Gotha!

As promised these 5 HD videos are now in your Techniques Bank with more to follow later.
Jamie H has done a great job stepping into the cockpit, or should I say turret, to feature in these. Big is good here because you can see much better how to apply the ‘hairspray’ techniques demonstrated, but many, many more techniques will be coming along in the coming weeks and months.
