Initial Assessment
First impressions are not good. The box art is slightly ropey and it’s an end opening box which is annoying.
On the back of the box, however, there are some nice colour profiles depicting the decal options (see above) and here we have a nice mix of Argentinean, silver RAF and of course RAF aeroplanes to choose from.

What’s in the Box?
Opening the package reveals a nice set of mouldings. These are crisp and clean and feature some delicate panel lines. The strengthening strips on the rear fuselage are overdone but it won’t take too much effort to sand these down.
The interior detail is adequate for this scale but that control column will have to go! Sadly, the canopy is in one piece and will be too thick to cut and display open anyway.
There are a small number of resin parts which are very nicely done which will add to the refinement of things.
Decal quality looks ok (see right). Colour and registration are also good – we’ll see how they go down later if and when I use them in my forthcoming build.
Conclusions
All in all this is a simple kit and first impressions are favourable. However, this is not a Tamiya kit, which means I am off to stock up on elbow grease as I suspect things won’t go smoothly, due to it being a slightly limited run product.
Time will tell.
Jamie H.
