Kingfisher Miniatures is going to be well known to all of you that build armour in 1:76 scale so let’s see what you get with this small but full package…
Well, plenty in the small box:
- Resin Landrover chassis and soft skin top
- Resin seats for cab and rear compartment, windscreen
- White metal accessories such as steering wheel, main wheels, drive assembly and many other small parts
The quality of the casting is very high with no obvious flaws in the parts – a good start. In addition there shouldn’t be too much cleaning up to do as the soft top fits neatly into the Landrover body as you can see in the attached image.

The white metal parts are also well cast with good tread pattern on the tyres and accurate detail on the drive assembly and other small parts. Some flash will need to be removed from these parts but he metal is relatively soft and so this shouldn’t present any problems.
Instructions…
This is quite a simple model to construct and the instruction sheet is ample for the job. The instructions cover the fact that both left and right hand drive parts are included and this is a nice touch. Furthermore, the notes appended to the sheet add further helpful advice.
We have this model placed for a build soon and so you should keep an eye on Build Now where you’ll find this very nice, much used vehicle by the British Army and many other forces too.
