Initial Assessment
The kit comes in a card box with black script in both Russian and English, along with photos of the figures against a blue background.
Each figure comes in a clear plastic re-sealable bag and is made up of 14 parts including one full body, one torso, lower body and legs, arms, heads, caps, pistol holsters and headphones.
Accuracy
The cut of the uniform is good, with crease and seam detail well defined. With a change of head gear, which was introduced in June 43, the figure can be used from early to late war.
For the early war, the collar will need to be outlined in the Panzer pink colour, which was dropped from use later in the war, July 42. Both figures are very good both in scale and detail.
Quality
The quality of the casting is very good, with the detail on the uniform and face being well defined. The headset is very delicate, as the part that goes over the head is very thin and one had broken on the set I have. This is easily fixed with some super glue.
Instructions
There are no instructions with the kit, apart from the front of the box which has one large picture of both figures and two small ones showing the figures fitted into vehicles. These should suffice, as the parts are minimal and easily recognised from the photographs.
An addition the modeller will have to add from his/her stock will be the wires from the head-set, from either stretched sprue or thin wire.
Conclusion
This is not a new kit, but I picked them up from a show at a cheap price and, having a need for them in a future project, I am pleased I did.
I have noted this manufacturer before and, having looked at these figures, will be using them again. The detail is good and there are no casting marks or flash on any of the parts, although care will be needed to cut away the pouring stub.
I think with some care these guys will paint up really well and will suit any tank or Panzerjager, with different colours for the uniforms and detail painting.
Highly Recommended.
