Our thanks to Anthony Reeves at Treemendus for supplying our review sample.
You’ll find reviews on other Treemendus products within SMN and I have to say they are superb. We’ve used them many times now for various projects, such as Bill C’s armour builds.
The great thing is that they are suitable for all manner of modelling projects, bases and dioramas, so will appeal to modellers that build in any area or period.
So, this is another item from the growing and impressive collection of model trees and groundwork materials from this manufacturer – this time Raw Grass.
I have a range of bases that I’ve created, none of which have taken very long to make, but they do set the finished model off well and that’s the aim for me – to display my models on a realistic-looking base.
It makes such a difference to display models in this way, as a decent base values the time and effort that you’ve put into your project and I reckon it deserves displaying to its best advantage.
Raw Grass
I am in the throes of completing my Revell Antonov An-2 project and have this idea of displaying the model in an African desert strip setting, looking a bit the worse for wear and needed some suitable material. Enter Treemendus…
This material looks just right in terms of my imagination and memory and I plan to use the grass tufts in small batches to look like scrubland, so what’s included will be just right – around the edge of the aircraft and cleared ‘runway’. I can’t wait to get started with this for that base.
My model is only 1:72 scale, yet is still a reasonable size and I just can’t think of how I would have been able to display it without something like this. Great stuff!
I will also be using the Treemendus Desert Sand material as that will compliment the base extremely well.
Conclusion
Highly Recommended.
The best thing I can suggest is to go to the Treemendus website; there is all manner of help and advice, as well as the opportunity to buy these products.
