The cockpit detail is good with nicely detailed seats, instrument panel and other details making this area of obvious interest given that much of it will be visible with the side-by-side seating layout, much like the old GD F-111 – the front end has a lot of the look of that icon of the 70s and 80s.
The exhaust jet pipes are refined with delicate detail and it’s good to see that HB hasn’t wasted time and extra cost on providing full engines that can’t be seen, although as you’ve seen the cost of this kit is high.
Stores and weapons
The collection or ordnance, AAMs and tanks is simply breathtaking – I’ve never seen so many items in a kit. I hope you know your Russian weapons because they are far too numerous to list here – just look at the pics and if the Su-34 can carry them, they’re included, believe me! Some of these parts are included in a separate box within the main kit box.
Clear parts
Two sprues for this – the one that has the canopy is protected with foam and is nicely clear, although I did spot a scratch on the rear section of our kit – it looks like it will polish out but a bit careless from HB.
