The instructions are clear and in a very large book, a happy evening will be spent studying these even if you have seen the video. There is a very large illustrated sprue breakdown and after a quick look they look logical and comprehensive.
It is a big aircraft as you can see (where I have left the Tamiya paint bottle in shot) and some thought will have to be given to where all the sub assemblies are going to be parked if you have a small work space.
Merlin engines
Here are some nicely detailed engine nacelle parts, especially the interiors and a couple of the remaining engine sprues. We noticed some release plug marks but nothing serious. The Merlin engines certainly look very good and in this scale provide enormous opportunities to add wiring and other details?Cockpit
Looking at the cockpit parts it’s hard to see what has obviously been omitted? It all looks very complete. The prominent cable looms that run down the starboard interior of the cockpit seem to be there and that’s good to see. Again, in this scale Airfix have had a lot of scope to go further than would be economically viable in the smaller scales so you are assured of plenty of scale modelling for your money!
Weapons
Two bombs, plenty of rockets and the guns applicable to these NF.II and FB.Mk.VI versions represented.
