A note from Geoff…
Just before James does his stuff I wanted to remind you that there are two really excellent walkaround reference sets for both the single (F2) and twin-seater T1) Eurofighter Typhoon aircraft in your SMN Photo Reference Library. You can find the sets here.
Box and contents
My first review kit for Scale Modelling Now was with Geoff and the single seat variant of the Eurofighter, the F2, which I believe was completed in 2010. I remember the kit to have its flaws yet it still built into an impressive model. Revell have now released the trainer version in the form of this twin seat variant, which is used by all air arms who purchased the Typhoon.
Before the box is opened, Revell supply a colourful artwork depicting a pair of German Typhoons on a training mission, the Twin Seater in the foreground includes artwork of German Fighter Ace Johannes “Macky” Steinhoff. RAF 6 Squadron Typhoon decals are included (more on these later) within the standard decals.
